Uncle Amb is a writer based in Brooklyn, curating bigdyk3_nyc — an Instagram community that promotes Black self-empowerment through daily news analysis, music, and, of course, memes.
The blog serves as a living archive, prioritizing black and LGBTQ+ voices in digital culture traditionally overlooked by mainstream media. It’s amassed a following of over 30K since starting on a whim in 2022.
She’s grateful. (Even if the name still bugs her.)
